F2F Mentoring Program

Faculty-to-Faculty (F2F) Mentoring Program

The F2F Network Mentoring Program supports a broad vision for faculty mentoring. We work with schools and the college to help faculty build meaningful professional networks.

Our approach is grounded in best practices. We assess the needs of mentees and the expertise of mentors to provide thoughtful, flexible pairings, giving mentees some choice in selecting a mentor.

This mentoring program was originally developed by Dr. Pamela Braboy Jackson in response to the need for mentoring across IU campuses.

Participants are matched based on a wide range of characteristics, empowering mentees to shape the structure and goals of their mentoring relationships. We also provide:

  • A mentoring map to help mentees build a constellation of mentors

  • A checklist for both mentors and mentees to guide the experience

  • Metrics to track progress and ensure goals are being met

Mentoring networks offer broader perspectives, support innovative research, expand professional opportunities, and foster a stronger sense of belonging. These benefits apply to both mentors and mentees.
