Whether this is your first faculty appointment or you are just new to the IUB faculty, our office offers a variety of programs spaced throughout the year to introduce you to new colleagues and campus resources in order to ease your transition as a new faculty member.

Designed for new faculty like you, Navigating IUB is your go-to resource. This series gives you tips on campus life, teaching resources, research help, and more.

Join us as we explore how you can make a difference, network with other incoming faculty, and enjoy all that Indiana University has to offer.

Hoosiers Connect Mentoring Program

Hoosiers Connect is a group-style faculty mentoring program designed for faculty who are new to the IUB community. This program will connect new faculty, those in their first year as faculty and those who are just new to Bloomington, with an IUB faculty mentor.

In this program, new faculty will be exposed to a wide range of resources available to IUB faculty both on campus and within the greater Bloomington community.

Opportunities for new faculty arriving to IU

New Faculty Orientation - Welcome Picnic and Resource Showcase
New faculty will have the opportunity to meet administrators and colleagues across campus at the New Faculty Orientation Picnic and Resource Showcase that takes place each August. Information booths with resources and representatives will be there to greet you and help you discover all that IU and Bloomington have to offer.
