Methods and Practices to Succeed (MAPS)
The MAPS Program is an IU-run program for faculty across ranks and disciplines. The 14-week in-person intensive opportunity offers faculty participants structure and accountability in developing and meeting their research, teaching, and service goals.
Weekly sessions focus on aligning goals with tenure and promotion criteria, developing short- and long-term research, teaching, and service aims, defining writing schedules, and building communities of accountability and feedback. MAPS operates in small groups of 5-6 faculty, serving 20-25 faculty each semester. If you are interested in participating in the MAPS program, please inform your department chair or school dean, or contact our office.

IU Bloomington has an institutional membership in the NCFDD, providing all faculty, postdocs, and graduate students access to their basic program of services at no additional cost. These services include a weekly email, access to the NCFDD curriculum, and several other services.
