The Initiative for the Advancement of Women (IAW) offers a dynamic and multifaceted array of programming with the goal of fostering excellence and community. At the heart of our work is the core belief that an equitable and inclusive climate drives innovation.

This series empowers women to excel in their studies and careers, whether they choose tech-related disciplines or explore other fields where technology plays a significant role.

Advocates and Allies for Equity

Our community of faculty and staff strive to raise awareness about gender inequality and reduce bias at Indiana University, Bloomington.

The Initiative for the Advancement of Women will continue long-standing efforts to support women faculty and staff, and will create new opportunities moving forward, including:

Enhancing the visibility of women
