The Faces of Leadership
This event in the Women in Leadership series features a panel of distinguished guests who have demonstrated leadership in diverse roles. Each of the panelists will describe their current work and the path that led them to where they are now. The overarching purpose is to demonstrate the many avenues to taking on additional complexity and leadership over time in domains as broad-reaching as research, faculty governance, graduate, and undergraduate education. Ample time will be left for questions and conversation.
Our panelists will tell you about their work, their path to the position they currently hold, and will take your questions as we learn more about the ways in which their work supports our common goals.
Our panelists include:
- Sarah Imhoff, Director of Graduate Studies for the Borns Jewish Studies Program and an associate professor of Jewish and religious studies- Cate Reck, President of the Bloomington Faculty Council and clinical professor for the Department of Chemistry
- Katherine Ryan, Director for Communication and Professional Skills and senior faculty lecturer for the Kelley School of Business
- Moira Marsh, President of the Indiana Conference of the American Association of University Professors, former President of the Bloomington Faculty Council, and collection manager and liaison librarian for Anthropology, Folklore, and Sociology
Women in Leadership Series
The Women in Leadership series provides opportunities for emerging leaders to explore various administrative roles and to engage with other campus leaders. We seek to provide support to those who are just beginning in administrative roles or who wish to learn more about possibilities on campus and beyond, and to provide community for those already in positions of leadership. Each month we will host an event ranging from conversations with panelists currently in leadership, leadership development workshops, and conversations with Indiana University senior leadership. There will be plenty of time for conversation and interaction and this is a fantastic opportunity to develop a network of campus women leaders. All current and future leaders are most welcome!
