President Pamela Whitten, Provost Rahul Shrivastav and Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs Carrie Docherty would like to welcome you and your family to Indiana University Bloomington at a picnic in your honor on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the DeVault Alumni Center, 1000 East 17th Street. You will have the opportunity to meet many other new faculty members and many campus administrative leaders.
The picnic will include an informal open house from 4-5:15 p.m., where you can meet representatives from dozens of campus programs and services. Dinner, along with a formal welcome will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dress is casual at this outdoor event, which will be held under tents, rain or shine. Spouses/partners and children are welcome, and a variety of cook-out type food (including vegetarian/vegan) will be served. Kid City will provide activities for children.
