One bed/one bathroom, ideal for one person (landlord only rents to grad students, professors, and professionals, no undergrads, so it's very quiet). Door is code access. Shared Housing: We have a room for rent in newly built bungalow home on colorful South Dunn St in Bryan Park neighborhood. A short walk from Bryan Park and nearby restaurants and coffee shops and about a mile to campus and downtown. The space offers a shared open concept kitchen/living/dining room and a semi-private bathroom just outside your first-floor bedroom. There are beautiful front porches on every house on this street and you'll find friendly neighbors sitting outside on pleasant evenings throughout the year. I am a professor studying Environmental Communication at IU and looking for someone to share my new house with myself, a small but friendly nonshedding dog named George Orwell, and my partner Libby, who is only here occasionally. Our ideal roommate is mature and respectful but also enjoys social interactions. The house is equipped with many board games and musical instruments (guitar, mandolin, piano). Ideally our future roommate is also interested in helping us plan out, maintain, and eat from a backyard vegetable garden (any interior decoration projects are appreciated too, although you might have to run it by Libby!). We tend towards opening the windows on nice nights in the summer (rather than A/C) and keeping the heat fairly cool in the winter. This is an environmentally friendly home, complete with solar panels and a weekly composting service. Libby is allergic to animals that shed, but nonshedding dogs and other nonshedding pets are also welcome (the backyard is fenced). The room is fully furnished. If you're interested, please email me at the address below, including a few details about yourself. I am happy to send you photos or set up a time to look around in person or via Skype. Short term leases are also considered.
